CORPORATE RECOVERY AND BANKRUPTCY

Richardson & Associates, Inc. provides a wide range of corporate recovery and bankruptcy services.  We render accounting, tax and financial advisory services to debtors, creditors, other stakeholders and their counsel involved in court proceedings (bankruptcy) and out-of-court situations (
workouts, turnarounds and liquidations).

On matters specific to bankruptcy, our firm assists clients and their counsel with the following:

  • Pre-bankruptcy planning and assessment, preparation of "first day" orders.
  • Preparation and review of petitions, schedules and the statement of financial affairs.
  • Matters dealing with property of the estate and recovery thereof, including adequate protection, cash collateral, executory contracts, reclamation, preferences and fraudulent transfers.
  • Assessment of reorganization and liquidation values, feasibility, and best-interest tests.
  • Development of reorganization plans, disclosure statements and concurrent offering documents such as confidential information memorandums.
  • Tax filings, monthly operating reports and financial reporting.
  • Special examinations of the finance and accounting practices of the debtor.

On bankruptcy and other out-of-court matters, our firm assists clients with the following:

  • Profit improvement studies, situation analysis and determination of viability.
  • Development of turnaround strategies including revenue enhancement programs, cost reduction programs, and asset redeployment or liquidation programs.
  • Business plan development and preparation of budgets and cash flow forecasts.
  • Creditor/lessor re-negotiation, debt restructuring and collateral reassessment.
  • Assessment of internal accounting controls and procedures, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Fulfillment of financial, regulatory and tax reporting requirements.
